This article describes the course of the university accreditation process in Argentina, which begins with a declaration that the degree in question is of public interest, and ends with the issuance of an accreditation resolution. In particular, it describes the quality standards of the computer science degree courses and the process undergone by the Computer Science School of the National University of La Plata.
